Mike and Kara. These two kids are amazing. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. Happy Birthday Kara - Happy Anniversary to the two of you! Two of my favorite people! p.s. that OU Snuggie was so warm...
Awww lil' Mike... and check the apron! I would pay some double digits for the "Who Invited All These Tacky People?" apron!

Adventures in Temping and an OKC Trip
This is where I'm going tomorrow. Somewhere near Pawnee, Oklahoma. Flying into OKC and then driving out into the remote Oklahoman wilderness. Why? Friendship and adventure!
It's Kara's birthday and I have to see her. We are gonna ride ATVs and shoot guns I think. In the country at a cabin/farmhouse. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOFA Chicago Snapshots
The most generous person I know invited me to the SOFA show held at Navy Pier. We had a bare-bones picnic before getting completely overloaded with amazing art. I really had no idea that I would enjoy sculpture so much! Here are some photos I snuck. I will update them with artist name and links as soon as I find out.

Turning Lemons into Glass Pendants
I bought a quart sized ziplock bag filled with old stamp collecting kits a few months earlier at a book sale. Though I had hoped that it would contain a long lost rare misprint but I was a bit disappointed to find that it was just general issue, post metered. This did not detract from the awesomeness of the little colorful squares and rectangles that were designed during the 1930's - 1960's. So I decided to figure out how to make those awesome glass pendants that I've always coveted and here is my first batch! I'm really happy with them. Click on the photo to go to my etsy page where I have listed them.
